“The first hike at Rodeo Lagoon/Beach in the Marin Headlands on Saturday, June 10th was enjoyed by all that attended. Most of the families hiked with us last summer and there was a strong sense of community; the families brought delicious treats to share and sat in a large circle to enjoy lunch together. Some of the activities included a color card matching game, beach scavenger hunt, and pebble identification activity. Along the trail the group spotted two river otters in the lagoon, lots of blooming flowers and several sea birds. At the beach they found sail jellyfish, black turban snails, Dungeness crab, mole crabs, limpets, sea sponge, eel grass, mussels and sand dollars.” —Wildcare
