The Wellness & Prevention Center (WPC), is a South Orange County nonprofit dedicated to helping youth and families lead healthier lives through mental health services, prevention education, and community support.
Founded by community members who recognized the growing need for youth mental health resources, the Wellness & Prevention Center has grown from a school-based drop-in center into an organization providing accessible mental health services, education, and prevention programs throughout the community. Their mission is to increase access to mental health prevention and early intervention for South Orange County youth while creating a culture where young people prioritize their mental well-being and have access to quality care.
Through school and community-based programs, WPC provides individual, family, and group mental health services designed to support young people as they navigate challenges such as stress, conflict, anxiety, and other emotional pressures. By offering early intervention and creating safe spaces for youth to seek support, WPC helps students develop healthy coping strategies and build stronger connections with their families, peers, and communities.
Beyond direct counseling services, the Wellness & Prevention Center works to educate and empower the community by addressing important issues surrounding mental health, substance use prevention, and youth wellness. Through partnerships with schools, organizations, and community leaders, WPC brings people together to promote awareness, reduce stigma, and provide resources that help young people thrive.
