The Classical Theatre of Harlem (CTH) is dedicated to providing a life-changing educational experience to youth in Harlem by introducing classical works of theatre through the PROJECT CLASSICS initiative. CTH believes that exposure to the rich tapestry of classical plays can inspire creativity, critical thinking, and a deeper understanding of cultural heritage. Through interactive theatre workshops, performances, and the exploration of theatre skills such as voice and speech, movement, dance, and character development, CTH aims at empowering students to find their voice and cultivate a lifelong appreciation of the arts.
CTH held PROJECT CLASSICS residencies in seven schools in FY23, serving a total of 139 students.
