The Rainbow Sandals Foundation is proud to continue its to support The Graceful Warrior Project (GWP) a wonderful non-profit founded by Kelly Kelly in 2018. GWP currently operates three safe houses with a mission to empower local, indigenous leaders through their four pillars of self-defense: Physical, Spiritual, Intellectual, and Economic. They believe that a holistic, well-rounded, and locally led approach is key to achieving real and lasting change.
In GWP Congo, the situation is dire as rebel warfare has closed in on their territory, forcing them to refrain from meeting as usual. The security crisis has severely impacted their lives and businesses, with supply sources cut off due to the rebel army. Despite these challenges, their faith and perseverance enable them to continue their work.
In GWP Haiti, with rumors of gangs shutting off food supplies to other towns, proactive measures were taken to send money and stockpile essentials for team members. They also rented a large house, converting it into a safe haven for their leaders and the street children they minister to. Meanwhile, in GWP Tanzania, March was marked by a special time of physical self-defense training with Kelly, their President. This invaluable practice session helped address common mistakes and reinforced essential self-defense techniques for the girls, fostering a sense of empowerment and unity.
