Last week Sixth Street Community Center in NYC distributed produce as part of their Emergency Food Distribution to support our food insecure neighbors with fresh produce that is often hard to come by in food pantries.
Food insecurity is a household-level economic and social condition reflecting an inability to provide enough food for every person to live an active, healthy life. Hunger remains a persistent and prevalent reality for many New Yorkers.
Through their food security programs, Sixth Street Community Center has distributed over 350,000 lbs of fresh produce to thousands of NYC families.
"We are thankful to Rainbow Sandals Foundation for their ongoing support."
