Sixth Street Community Center in NYC, along with an amazing group of volunteers, distributed a variety of fruits and vegetables including cauliflower, cucumbers, green onions, oranges, snap peas, and bok choy, as part of their Free Food Distribution. This vital program supports our food-insecure neighbors with fresh produce that is often hard to come by in food pantries.
Food insecurity is a household-level economic and social condition reflecting an inability to provide enough food for every person to live an active, healthy life. Hunger remains a persistent and prevalent reality for many New Yorkers.
"We are thankful to Rainbow Sandals Foundation for their critical support."
