This morning Sixth Street Community Center in NYC distributed green beans, tomatoes, green onions, sweet potatoes, broccoli, squash, corn, and bok choy as part of their Free Food Distribution. This vital program supports our food-insecure neighbors with fresh produce that is often hard to come by in food pantries.
Food insecurity is a household-level economic and social condition reflecting an inability to provide enough food for every person to live an active, healthy life. Hunger remains a persistent and prevalent reality for many New Yorkers.
"We are thankful to Rainbow Sandals Foundation for their critical support."
