Rainbow Sandals Foundation is proud to continue supporting the Orange County Rescue Mission. Based in Tustin, CA, the Mission provides a network of campuses, programs, and services that help individuals in need find healing, restoration, and reach their full potential.
"I want to express my heartfelt gratitude for your very generous donation to Orange County Rescue Mission. Your kindness supports our care for homeless men, women, and children at our Village of Hope campus. Currently, we are at 115% occupancy for homeless mothers and families, highlighting the urgent need for comprehensive services and shelter for our most vulnerable neighbors, like Erica and her children.
ERICA'S SUCCESS STORY
Erica's childhood lacked safety and security. Her biological dad was absent, her stepdad was a gang member in and out of jail, and her mom couldn't provide the love she needed.
Erica's desire to belong led to a series of disappointing relationships. When she had her first son, the father left. As a single mom, she worked hard to provide a home. She began dating a long-time friend who became her new hope for a stable family. Unfortunately, he turned out to be emotionally and verbally abusive and cheated on her. This left Erica and her three sons facing homelessness.
Living in a motel with her kids, Erica heard about the Rescue Mission. "Coming here meant surrendering the life I was used to-running away. Being here allowed me to overcome those things," she shares. Here, Erica found the stability, safety, and support she needed to heal. She believes your generosity is "sowing seeds into good ground," adding, "This isn't just a place to live or find food to eat. It saves somebody's soul. It helps them heal from their brokenness and become whole so they too can become a sower and give back."
