Fish for Life is a Southern California-based nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the lives of special needs individuals through complimentary fishing trips at sea. The organization’s mission is simple yet profound: give participants a day on the water filled with love, inspiration, and the chance to learn fishing skills while creating lasting memories.
Every trip is designed with care, from personalized attention to a welcoming atmosphere where participants feel comfortable among their peers and genuinely loved by volunteers. These thoughtful touches transform a day of fishing into something far more meaningful, fostering confidence, connection, and joy for special needs individuals and their families.
Fish for Life’s home port is Dana Wharf in Dana Point, California, where the organization charters the 95-foot vessel Dana Pride to host its trips. The vessel’s size allows Fish for Life to serve larger groups while preserving the personal, hands-on experience central to its mission.
This summer, Fish for Life is expanding to the East Coast, establishing a new home port in Wildwood Crest, New Jersey, in partnership with the Starlight Fleet — extending its reach and bringing the same spirit of inclusion and joy to a new community of special needs individuals.
