Founded in 1991, the Fallbrook Food Pantry began as a religious organization offering food, shelter, clothing, and medical assistance. In 2005, it became a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, shifting its focus solely to community service. With over 30 years of dedicated support in the semi-rural Fallbrook region, the Pantry serves 50,000 households annually, distributing more than 1.5 million pounds of food to 5,598 unique individuals.
Recognizing the need for long-term solutions, they expanded their mission to include education. Fallbrook Food Pantry opened a new facility and Learning Center in 2019 thanks to a successful capital campaign. Their first nutrition class launched in 2021, and today, they offer over seven courses supporting 400+ clients each year with more than 6,500 classroom hours. As of April 9, it marked the beginning of the Market's ninth month of existence. Their clients have increased from 4 families (11 individuals) on opening day in August 2024 to 78 families (255 individuals) in a 2-hour window on March 28, 2025. As Fallbrook Food Pantry grows, it remains committed to deepening our impact through holistic, community-driven programs.
